Woman seriously burned in alleged accelerant attack



The incident happened just before 12pm Wednesday at a block of units in Hampden St. Emergency services crews rushed to the scene and found a Ceduna woman, 38 with serious burns.She was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where she remains in a serious but non-life threatening condition. Traumatised family members of the victim told 9 News the woman was burned “pretty bad” to her head and body. “It was shocking to hear that, I just hope she’s OK,” one family member said.Two suspects fled the scene in a stolen white Ford Territory which was last seen heading west on Grand Junction Rd. Police helicopter tracked the car through various suburbs before the car came to a stop on King St at Alberton. Two people in the car fled on foot but were arrested nearby. A Rosewater woman, 36, was charged with recklessly causing harm to another. She was refused bail to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday. A Clearview woman, 32, was charged with illegal use. She was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court in February.
