Woman found dead after caravan fire in Melbourne's south-east

A woman has been found dead after a caravan went up in flames in Melbourne's south-east in the early hours of this morning.

Firefighters rushed to the South Gippsland Highway caravan park in Dandenong South just after 3am following reports of a caravan on fire.

After the fire was extinguished, the body of a 59-year-old woman was found inside.

A crime scene has been established, with the exact cause of the fire yet to be determined.

Police want to speak to any witnesses or anyone with information about the fire.
