Two people have been arrested after a 76-year-old man was allegedly shot at the doorstep of his Melbourne home last month.
David Nairn was home with his wife and daughter when he was allegedly shot at close range after he opened the door to a knock at the house on Canterbury Road in Middle Park on August 17.
He was shot in the leg and was rushed to the Alfred hospital, where he underwent surgery.

Police executed six warrants this morning at a number of properties, arresting two men.
A 24-year-old Tarneit man is expected to be charged with intentionally causing serious injury, possessing a firearm and other related offences.
He will face Melbourne Magistrates' Court this afternoon.
A 23-year-old Werribee man has been released pending further enquiries.
Police also seized a white Hyundai they believe was used by those involved in the shooting.
