RV trialled the idea of five days free of race meetings in the last week of the racing season in July, which produced a negative reaction from many sectors of the industry.RV has canned the trial for 2022, adding two more meetings to the last week of July.Sandown will host a meeting on Wednesday, July 27 before a Pakenham Synthetic card on the following day.The two meetings are in addition to rescheduled meetings on the other days of the week.Racing Victoria has also reshuffled its new Good Friday meeting at Sale.Good Friday racing still needs new legislation to go ahead with the Victorian Government to introduce the required measures to parliament early next year. However, RV has scheduled the $500,000 Country Discovery (1100m) as a Good Friday feature on April 15.A Geelong meeting has been pushed back to April 13, to replace the Sale fixture while a Benalla meeting fixtured for April 14 will be run two days earlier.
