Police believe Potts Hill shooting ‘targeted attack’

The 29-year-old was hit at least twice during the attack at 4.30am in Rowe Drive, Potts Hill in south-west Sydney.A black SUV was found burnt out in Nobbs Rd, Yagoona which police believe was linked to the shooting.“It indicates it could be a targeted attack,” Detective Chief Inspector Darren Beeche said yesterday.”We’ve been able to piece together a version of events through witnesses,’’ he said.The man was known to police and it is believed the shooting was drug-related.Police are appealing to people in the area who may have seen a man driving a white Toyota Hilux 2008 model, single cab tray top, with NSW registration DSK19H who they believe has information relating to the incident.The man is in a serious condition in hospital and will be interviewed by police in the coming days.Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Bankstown Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.NED-5192-DT-App-Banner
