Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the "suspicious" death of a man who was found injured on a street in Geelong, Victoria early this morning.
The 40-year-old man was found dead next to his car with significant head injuries on Malone Street about 4am.
The man had left his Western Beach Road property about 11pm yesterday to walk his dog.

Police have said his wife awoke about 4am and began searching for her husband after finding their dog had returned home, but he hadn't.
She discovered his body near his car and called emergency services.
Neighbour Dylan Slater has told 9News the discovery was "quite scary".
"I heard some sirens and I didn't really think about it too much. I thought it was literally on the other side of the road," he said.
"I got up and the next thing I know I go through my Facebook and there's been a story of a dead body."
A crime scene has been established and the street has been cornered off.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the man out walking his dog last night, or heard anything suspicious between 11pm and 4am overnight.
