Man fighting for life after allegedly jumping off balcony while running from cops
A young man is fighting for life after he allegedly jumped off a balcony while running from police in Adelaide's city centre in the early hours of the morning.
Police confronted the 20-year-old Gepps Cross man about a nearby theft at the Festival Plaza concourse in Adelaide about 2.15am.
"After speaking with police for several minutes, the man ran off and jumped off the balcony," a police statement about the incident reads.

The man fell several metres to the ground.
Police gave the man first aid before he was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a critical condition.
The incident is being investigated.
