Man charged with murder after alleged stabbing in NSW

A man has been charged with murder, and a woman has been charged with assisting him, after a man was allegedly stabbed to death on the New South Wales Mid North Coast.

Emergency services arrived at a house on Robert Eggins Street in South Kempsey after the man had allegedly been stabbed in March.

Paramedics treated the 39-year-old but he died at the scene.

NSW Police arrested a 48-year-old man at Airds in Sydney's south-west about 9.35am yesterday and charged him with murder.

"During a subsequent search of the property, police seized a number of items relevant to the investigation, which will undergo forensic examination," NSW Police said in a statement.

Police also arrested a 31-year-old woman on Sea Street in West Kempsey yesterday and charged her with accessory after the fact to murder.

The man was refused bail and is expected to appear in Campbelltown Local Court today.

The woman was refused bail and is expected to appear in Kempsey Local Court today.
