An investigation is underway after an alleged kidnapping in East Gippsland, Victoria, earlier this week.
Police were told a 68-year-old Bruthen man was assaulted at a property on the Great Alpine Road and forced into a car at about 6pm on Sunday, May 14.
He was driven to nearby bushland and threatened before his alleged kidnappers fled the scene.

Detectives believe the car he was forced into may have travelled along the Great Alpine Road between Main St and Engineers Road between 4pm and 9pm on May 14.
