BEST BETSQUID GAME (Race 4 No.2 – $4.20)Surprised he’s not shorter after an impressive win against a strong field last time out at Flemington. He’s now got the straight track experience and with Michael Dee back in the saddle, I’m keen to stick with him.NEXT BESTSKELM (Race 7 No.5 – $5.50)Didn’t expect Skelm to lead last time out but he excelled in that role when bolting in. The seven-year-old is arguably in career-best form and while he steps out to 2800m, his only run over the trip was a fourth in the Andrew Ramsden. Rock hard fit and well placed to win.LOOKS LIKE ELVIS (Race 8 No.5 – $10)Well travelled gelding from the Jarrod Austin yard that continues to be underrated by the market. Put them away with ease last start in the Gold Bullion at Pakenham after a tough run out wide and drops 2kg on that effort. He’s a horse with a fifth placing in the Epsom on his resume, so he’s more than good enough to be winning this.VALUE BETBROADWAYANDFOURTH (Race 9 No.1 – $11)Talented mare with a big finish. Was first-up off a lengthy spell but put in a strong run, coming from well back to finish third behind Winsum. She’s never really been a fresh performer, so her encouraging run indicates she’s back in good form. Likes Flemington and at the price, she looks good value.THE JOCKEYALANA KELLYThe 3kg claiming apprentice has a few opportunities in town with six rides, three of which are expected to be in the finish.HEARTY LASS (Race 2 No.1 – $9), DIRTY DEEDS (Race 3 No.3 – $9), SPIRIT OF PEPIN (Race 4 No.9 – $71), FORCE OF WILL (Race 5 No.7 – $26), CONVICT SAM (Race 6 No.3 – $6), FREE TO MOVE (Race 9 No.11 – $51)
