Drunken buggy bandits allegedly steal golf cart from music festival

A pair of "buggy bandits" have been arrested and charged after allegedly stealing a golf cart from a music festival in Adelaide while allegedly under the influence. 

A 44-year-old driver and his 37-year-old passenger were arrested by police after officers saw the pair driving along King William Street in Adelaide's CBD and breath-tested the 44-year-old.

The driver allegedly recorded a positive reading of 0.133, which is three times over the legal limit.

A pair of buggy bandits have been arrested and charged after stealing a golf buggy from a music festival while allegedly under the influence.

Police say the pair took the golf buggy from the WOMADelaide music festival.

The 44-year-old driver has been charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle, drink driving and driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.

His 37-year-old passenger was charged with illegal use and issued an adult caution.

The golf cart has been returned to the festival.
