A woman was more than five times the legal alcohol limit in the mid-afternoon when she got behind the wheel and caused a three-car smash in Geelong yesterday, police say.
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene on Watsons Road in Newcomb at around 3pm.
They found a 39-year-old Charlemont woman behind the wheel.

She was assessed by paramedics before being taken to a police station for breath testing, where she allegedly returned a reading of 0.278.
Police immediately suspended her licence.
It is expected she will be charged on summons in relation to drink driving and other traffic matters.
