Former prime minister Scott Morrison is working on a book, focusing heavily on his Christian faith, that's set to touch on "cancel culture, identity politics and deep secularisation".
Publishers of Plans for Your Good — A Prime Minister's Testimony of God's Faithfulness promise "fascinating insights" and "an account of high-level politics" but warn readers it will be "less political memoir and more pastoral encouragement".
"Full of fascinating insights into the handling of some of the most significant global events and issues of our time Morrison's honest, vulnerable and reflective answers offers a unique lens to better understand your relationship with God and the blessing that can flow from such a relationship," the book's overview page reads.

"Alongside an account of high-level politics in a new media age where cancel culture, identity politics and deep secularisation is taking hold across so many western societies, creating a truly post Christian west, Morrison testifies to the faithful love and blessings of God."
The 288-page volume is set for release in May next year through Thomas Nelson, an imprint of HarperCollins Christian Publishing.
Morrison has spoken openly about the way his Pentecostal Christian faith guided him and made headlines on several occasions for speeches to churches and other faith groups both during and after his prime ministership.

The publishers say his new book will offer "a unique insider's account" of a time in office that included drought, fire and the pandemic and "chronicles God's faithfulness throughout, win or lose, public criticism or public success".
Morrison declared an advance for the book in May on the Registry of Members' Interests.
