A car has been found in the search for missing British actor Julian Sands who disappeared in a treacherous California mountain range.
Authorities say Sands, 65, who starred in A Room With a View and Arachnophobia, has been missing since last Friday in the Mount Brady area.
The vehicle is believed to belong to the British actor.
A spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said conditions in the area remained treacherous.
"His wife did report him missing. From what I understand, he left that day for a hike and when he did not return his family reported him missing," she said.
"The conditions are too dangerous. In fact, even some of the more experienced hikers are getting themselves into trouble up there."
A ground search was attempted on the weekend, but had to be abandoned due to a storm.
Drones and helicopters have since been deployed to the mountain range.
San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department has recently warned hikers about visiting Mount Baldy, where high winds and ice continue to make conditions dangerous.
In a post on Facebook, the agency said that over the last four weeks, search and rescue teams have responded 14 rescue missions on Mount Baldy and in the surrounding area.
Sands's other credits include films such as The Killing Fields and Leaving Las Vegas and TV shows including Smallville.
One of his most recent credits included a recurring role in Netflix's television series What/If.
