Australia needs ‘one uniform set of rules’ when it comes to COVID-19

Liberal Party Vice-President Teena McQueen says Australia needs “one uniform set of rules” when it comes to the country’s COVID-19 responses.

It comes after Scott Morrison announced changes to the country’s test and tracing system.

Under the new rules, only those who live with or have spent more than four hours with a positive case in a house or house-like setting will be considered a close contact.

“Dom Perrottet will certainly comply, it looks like Andrews will and Palaszczuk,” Ms McQueen told Sky News host Gary Hardgrave.

“Let’s hope they can all, for the good of the nation, just have the same rules for everybody so we all know what we’re going to do and can plan accordingly.”
