Police have charged close to 100 people attending a New Year's Day music festival in Sydney with drug offences.
More than 23,000 festival-goers packed into The Domain yesterday for this year's sold- out Field Day event.
During the festival, 84 people were treated by paramedics and three were taken to hospital.
As part of a police operation at the event, 97 people were found to be carrying illegal drugs, including MDMA, amphetamines, cannabis, cocaine, ecstasy, LSD, ketamine and psilocybin (mushrooms), NSW Police said in a statement.
Among those arrested were three people charged with drug supply offences.
Police will allege in court that a 21-year-old man was in possession of 15 capsules of MDMA, a 21-year-old man was with nine capsules of MDMA, and a 25-year-old woman was in possession of five MDMA capsules.
In total, police issued 15 court attendance notices, two infringement notices, 13 cannabis cautions and 58 criminal infringement notices.
